Regional Fisheries Management Councils: On October 25, 2023, NOAA announced plans for $20 million in funding for regional fishery management councils. Approximately $3 million will be divided equally among the eight councils. The remaining $17 million in funding will be awarded to councils on a competitive basis: Source

Red Snapper: On October 25, 2023, NOAA announced plans for $20 million in funding to address the impacts of climate change on red snapper and other reef fish in the Gulf of Mexico: Source

Pacific Salmon: On December 5, 2023, NOAA announced $7.5 million available from the IRA for the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund to both states and tribes. Applications are due March 04, 2024: Source
