On May 8, 2023, EPA published a Request for Information (RFI) on zero-emissions heavy-duty vehicles and port equipment to inform the development of the Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Program and Clean Ports Program (Section 60102). The comment period closed June 5, 2023. Source
EPA anticipates releasing a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) in early spring 2024.

$400 million is designated for communities located in an air quality area designated as nonattainment, an area that does not meet the national primary or secondary ambient air quality standard for any air pollutant.
Of the $1 billion appropriated, 3%, $30 million, is reserved for administrative expenses.
