Small Water Storage and Groundwater Storage Projects

Description:

A competitive grant program for non-federal small water storage and groundwater storage projects – projects that have storage capacity between 2,000 acre-feet and 30,000 acre-feet – with existing feasibility study or construction authorizations. Priority is given to projects that are likely to provide a more reliable water supply, to increase water management flexibility and reduce impacts on environmental resources, and provide multiple benefits, among other priorities. Individual project grants can be a maximum of 25% the total cost of the project, with a total cap of $30 million.
