Description:

Program to fund construction, planning and workforce development in Alaskan communities that are threatened by erosion, flooding and/or permafrost degradation. Eligible projects include actions to reduce the risk of damage to public infrastructure and residential housing from local weather events and climate-related hazards and/or repair or replace of public infrastructure that has been damaged by these hazards.

The IIJA appropriated a total of $75 million to the Denali Commission. $3.75 million (5%) will cover administrative costs, including the Inspector General.
