Description:
Incorporates provisions from S.1316 (Cyber Response and Recovery Act of 2021) and allocates $100 million over five years to create a Cyber Response and Recovery Fund. This fund offers support for handling cyber incidents affecting Federal, State, local, and Tribal entities, either on a reimbursable or non-reimbursable basis. This includes technical assistance and grants for recovery and response efforts. Additionally, it grants the National Cyber Director the authority to designate an event as a “significant incident” in the case of a severe cyber-attack, and supplies funding to the impacted entities for their response and recovery efforts.
