Implementation Status/Rulemaking:
The Advanced Industrial Facilities Deployment Program is currently funded alongside Section 41008 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Industrial Emission Demonstration Projects) in a funding opportunity titled “Industrial Decarbonization and Emissions Reduction Demonstration-to-Deployment.” Topic Area 2, “Facility-Level Large Installations and Overhaul Retrofit Demonstrations”, and Topic Area 3, “System Upgrades and Retrofits for Critical Unit Operations or Single Process Lines Within Existing Facilities”, are funding through IRA.
On March 8, 2023, DOE issued a Funding Opportunity Announcement for approximately $6 billion under the IRA and/or Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
