Description

The Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP), established in 1990, awards research grants to federal and private organizations for research projects that will, according to the Department of Defense (DOD), “reduce the costs, environmental risks, and time required to resolve environmental problems while, at the same time, enhancing and sustaining military readiness.” DOD works in partnership with the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency.
