Description

The Assistance to Firefighter Grant program offers up to 85% cost-share grants to nonprofit fire departments, emergency medical service (EMS) organizations not affiliated with a hospital, and State Fire Training Academies (SFTAs) for training, equipment, facilities, vehicles, and emergency responder wellness. Cost-share grant requirements are lessened for entities serving communities with less than 1 million residents. Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) grants are part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) and support projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards.
