Description
The Forest Inventory and Analysis program surveys and collects data on the extenf of forests, size and health of trees, tree growth, mortality, harvests and removels, and effects of disturbances like hurricanes and wildfires. FIA supports management decisions to reduce fire risks, incuding pre- and post- fire information to understand how forest conditions affect burn severity or calculate biomass loss due to fire.Appropriations
