Description

The Grid Resilience Formula Grants to States and Indian Tribes program provides funding to States, Indian Tribes, and U.S. territories to provide subgrants in support of enhancing the resilience of the electric grid against extreme weather and natural disasters, including wildfires, floods, hurricanes, extreme heat and cold, storms, and other disruptive events. Eligible entities for subgrants include electric grid operators, electricity storage operators, electricity generators, transmission and distribution providers, and fuel suppliers. A notable aspect of this program is the requirement for a 100% cost match from the eligible subgrant entities, based on their expenditure in the previous three years on similar resilience efforts.
