Description

The Grid Resilience Utility and Industry Grants program is designed to support the modernization of the electric grid to enhance its resilience against extreme weather and natural disasters, including wildfires, floods, hurricanes, extreme heat and cold, storms, and other disruptive events. Eligible entities for these grants include electric grid operators, electricity storage operators, electricity generators, transmission and distribution providers, and fuel suppliers. A notable aspect of this program is the requirement for a 100% cost match from the eligible entities, based on their expenditure in the previous three years on similar resilience efforts.
