Description
The Landscape-Scale Restoration Program was originally established to support cross-boundary forest restoration projects. In the 2018 Farm Bill, the program was modified to encourage science-based projects that restore priority landscapes or address issues/landscapes identified in State Forest Action Plans. Funding is implemented through 50% cost-share competitive grants awarded through the State for projects on state or private land. Projects must include plans “to reduce the risk of uncharacteristic wildfires,” among other objectives.Appropriations
