Description

The Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program provides taxpayer subsidies to producers growing crops ineligible for the federal crop insurance program when disasters, including wildfires, result in lower yields, crop losses, or prevented plantings. Eligible crops include, but are not limited to, mushrooms and floriculture, honey and maple sap, sea oats and sea grass, sweet sorghum and biomass sorghum, ornamental nursery, turf-grass sod, ginseng, and crops grown for seed, livestock feed, or creating biofuels.
