Description

The Public Assistance Grants program provides grants to state, local, and tribal governments, as well as certain types of private non-profits, to help communities respond to and recover from major disasters or emergencies. Funding is available after a presidential major disaster declaration or emergency declaration. Eligible projects include emergency protective measures, debris removal, and work relating to infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water facilities, and public buildings, among others. Public Assistance Grants are funded through the Disaster Relief Fund (DRF).
