Description
The Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant program offers grants to nonprofit nonfederal fire departments and volunteer firefighter interest organizations to hire or recruit and retain firefighters. The goal of the program is to help communities meet minimum firefighter number standards and attain 24-hour staffing.Appropriations
