Description
The Burned Area Rehabilitation program, funded through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), conducts post-fire efforts within three years of wildfire containment to repair or improve lands unlikely to recover naturally or to repair or replace minor infrastructure and facilities damaged by fire.Additional Program Notes & TCS Insights
The Forest Service received appropriations for burned area rehabilitation from FY2001 through FY2011. Between FY2020 through FY2022, USFS allocated over $10 million to fund post-fire repair and replacement of minor facilities and infrastructure damaged or destroyed by wildfire.
